The Legends

The legend about the fairies in Rastoke is as old as the village itself – while the spoon mills grind the corn and grain all night, the millers lit he paraffin lights, sat together and recounted life stories long into the night. Meanwhile, the fairies would take the horses that millers left by the trellises to rest until they head home. At dawn, the fairies would return the horses – short of breath and tired, their mane braided, and they would wash their laundry in Slunjčica, dance around and played, called the millers to join them... They still gather today, and anyone who really wants to see them can, at the Fairy's Hair fall.
